About The Bite Me Food Challenge

Real food, real people, bigger appetites — connecting challengers and local restaurants while fighting hunger with every point donated.

That is the mission of The Bite Me Food Challenge, and everything on this site is built around it.

What this is

The Bite Me Food Challenge is a free directory of food challenges — the giant burgers, monster pizzas, wing challenges, and eating contests that local restaurants run every day, most of them known only to the people who live nearby. We track them down, verify them, and put them on the map so anyone can find them.

Today the directory lists 2,267 restaurants, with 2,117 of them pinned on our maps, across 194 countries. Our Challenge Board tracks 91 challenges from 98 restaurants with official rules and time limits.

How it works

Find a challenge on the maps, go to the restaurant, and take it on. Verified finishes earn Bite Points, and points do more than climb a leaderboard: 100 points = $1 donated to the food bank of your choice. Playing the game literally puts food on someone else's table.

Free, always

The directory is free for guests to browse and free for restaurants to be listed in — no fees, no contracts, nothing to buy. Official attempts, points, and the leaderboard live in the Competitor Club, which opens soon. The first 100 members to join get permanent Founding Challenger numbers #1–#100.

Who is behind it

The Bite Me Food Challenge was founded by Brian Rogan in Independence, Missouri, and is run by Tow to Toe LLC. It started with one simple frustration: hundreds of great local food challenges were out there, and nobody could find them in one place. Now they can.

Our partners

Two restaurants have already said yes and become official partners: Uncle Mike's Diner in North Providence, Rhode Island, and Funki Griller in Bournemouth, England. Partners get their own page, a spot on the Challenge Board, and a turn in the Challenge of the Week spotlight.
